Clifford Fuel Co. Inc. Presents MDA of CNY with $35,118 Check

Cliff’s Local Market partnered with the MDA of Central New York to sell Shamrocks and raised a total of $35,118. Cliff’s Local Market is a chain of 19 convenience stores in Central New York locally owned and operated by Clifford Fuel Co. Inc. Clifford fuel has partnered with the MDA for 37 years and raised more than $430,000 to help free kids and adults from the harm of muscular dystrophy, ALS and related life-threatening diseases that limit strength and mobility.

“We are always impressed by the generosity of our customers and employees during the Shamrock campaign,” said Jim Clifford, President of Clifford Fuel Co. Inc. “Contributions benefit children right here in Central New York and every donation helps make a difference.”

The 2019 Shamrock campaign took place February 1 through March 25 throughout the 19 Cliff’s Local Market stores, 2 full-service Clifford Fuel Co. Inc. stations, and one Clifford Fuel Co. Inc. car wash. The Shamrock campaign is the nation’s largest St. Patrick’s Day fundraising program in which customers and associates purchase an MDA Shamrock at check-out for a $1, $5, or $10 contribution at check-out.  Each Shamrock can be signed by the customer and is prominently displayed in stores, symbolizing strength, independence and life for MDA families in the community.

The MDA Shamrocks campaign united many local retail locations. The funds raised locally directly benefit area children with Muscular Dystrophy by sending them to summer camp in Rush, NY where they can participate in normal activities like swimming, zip-lining, basketball, and more.
